A free planning tool for military families doing a PCS road trip. It calculates your authorized travel days, MALT reimbursement, and per diem for your whole household — and generates a day-by-day itinerary with lodging guidance. Built by a veteran, not affiliated with the DoD.
We use current JTR formulas and GSA per diem rates to get as close as possible, but your actual entitlements depend on your specific orders and travel authorization. Treat this as an estimate for planning purposes, but let us know if you find something that’s wildly off.
Moves of 400 miles or under get 1 authorized travel day. Over 400 miles, divide by 350 — if the remainder is 51 miles or more, add a day. A 750-mile move gets 3 days.
Our app calculates this automatically for you, so you don’t have to do any math.
$68 per day for the service member.
If you have family, spouses and dependents 12 and older receive 75%, children under 12 receive 50%. First and last travel days are paid at 75%.
